Q: Are the courses Georgia MLS offers approved by the state licensing authority?
A: Yes. Georgia MLS Training Institute is an approved real estate school by the Georgia Real Estate Commission for the purpose of offering salesperson prelicense, broker prelicense, postlicense, and continuing education courses. Our school approval code is 228 and the renewal date is December 31, 2011.
Georgia MLS Training Institute is also an approved appraisal school by the Georgia Real Estate Appraisers Board for the purpose of offering Appraiser Qualifying courses and a variety of appraisal continuing education courses. Our school approval code is 016 and the renewal date is December 31, 2010.
Q: Will computer-based courses work on my computer?

Q: Can I purchase my courses on CD-ROM?
A: At this time, Georgia MLS only offers online courses that are accessible via the Internet.
Q: What happens once I enroll myself in an online class?
A: You should receive an e-mail confirming your order. If your course comes with books and materials, they will be shipped to you via UPS Ground Service the following business day.

Q: Do I need to buy textbooks?
A: Computer-based courses do not require textbooks. However, your course may come with a book that can be used as reference material. The cost of tuition for in-class courses always includes the books and materials. No additional purchases are necessary, although supplemental material is sold through the school if you need it. Q: Is my computer-based course timed?
A: Your course must be completed within 180 days from the date of purchase or from the date of re-enrollment. A maximum of three extensions may be purchased (if applicable), each extending the course 60 days from the expiration date. Many computer-based courses require a timed and/or proctored final exam after completion. Click here to print a Final Examination Schedule.
Q: Can I switch to an in-class course if I don't like the computer-based version?
A: The money paid for a computer-based course is not transferrable to an in-class course.
Q: Can I get a refund after I've purchased the course?
A: COMPUTER-BASED COURSE FEES: Continuing Education and Postlicense computer-based course fees are non-refundable. Prelicense computer-based course fees are refundable within seven (7) calendar days of purchase. Upon receipt of course materials, a credit will be issued. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges. No refunds will be made after seven (7) calendar days of purchase. Tuition is valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase.
IN-CLASS COURSE FEES: In-class course fees are non-refundable. Tuition is valid for one (1) year from enrollment date. A transfer fee applies to students who need to reschedule.
Q: Is there someone I can call if I need help with my course?
A: Should you have questions regarding the content of a real estate course, the Director of Education, Bob Hart (770) 493-9000, will be glad to assist you. Should you have questions regarding the content of an appraiser course, the course instructor, Wade Gaddy (770) 631-1000, will be glad to assist you. Both can be reached during business hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday excluding holidays.
Q: What happens if I fail the final exam?
A: To pass the exam and complete the course, you must make a score of 75% or better on the written course final exam. If you fail the course exam, you may retake the exam one time, no sooner than one day after failing it the first time. All testing must be completed within one (1) year from the date of purchase. You may review any course material as desired as preparation for retaking the exam. If you fail to achieve a passing score on a second examination, you must repeat all course instruction before taking another examination. A RE-ENROLLMENT FEE IS REQUIRED.

A: The Real Estate Candidate Handbook and the Appraiser Candidate Handbook include pricing, location, and other information about taking your State Exam with AMP.
